Eligible credits
You may request a refund of the unused portion of a credit purchase within 14 days of that purchase. Credits already used for API requests and promotional credits are not refundable under this policy. Purchased credits do not expire if you keep them. The $5 monthly free usage allowance cannot be refunded and does not roll over.
Refunds are not automatic. The 14-day period is the window for submitting your request, not a promise that your bank will post the refund within 14 days.
This policy covers purchased API credit. An invoice raised under usage-based billing, which Arnict enables for an account only by agreement, covers inference resources already provided to you and is not refundable under this policy, except where a billing or technical error is established. Contact support@arnict.com about an invoice you believe is wrong.
How to request a refund
Email support@arnict.com from your account email within the request window. Include the top-up reference from Billing and tell us that you want unused credits refunded. Giving a reason is optional.
Do not send card numbers, security codes or API-key secrets. The payment reference lets us locate the payment.
Reviewing the unused amount
Support verifies the purchase, account ownership and unused credit before processing the refund. Pending API requests or payment reviews may need to finish so we can establish the amount. Credits you use while the request is being reviewed reduce the amount available for refund.
A refund or reversal also removes a proportionate share of the first top-up bonus granted on that payment. We account for pending usage and any bonus already used when reviewing the refund; a payment reversal can leave a balance shortfall. Refunds do not restore eligibility for the offer. Bonus credit expires one year after grant and has no refundable cash value.
We confirm the eligible amount with you. Submitting a request does not itself issue a refund or immediately change your balance.
1:1 bonus usage and refund limits
The 1:1 matching bonus is conditional on retaining the payment that funded it. For a refund approved under this policy, we deduct the value of API usage charged to both the purchased credits from that top-up and its associated matching bonus, even when the bonus credits were used first.
Maximum additional refund = the original paid top-up amount, minus usage from its purchased credits, minus usage from its matching bonus, minus any refunds already issued. The result cannot be below $0 or exceed the eligible unused purchased credit remaining. Unrelated promotional credits, such as the $5 monthly allowance, are excluded from this calculation.
For example, a $250 top-up plus a $250 matching bonus gives $500 in total API credit. If you use $15 from that matching bonus and have no earlier refunds or other adjustments, the maximum refund is $235, not $250. If you use the full $250 matching bonus, no refund remains available under this policy. Splitting a refund into several requests does not reset the usage deduction.
Using the matching bonus and then seeking a refund or payment reversal to leave that usage unpaid is abuse of the offer and violates our Terms of Service. A good-faith request for the eligible amount after these deductions remains allowed. Refunds and reversals also remove the corresponding proportionate bonus and never restore eligibility for another first-top-up bonus.
If a payment is reversed through a dispute or another process, the associated credit adjustments still apply and any resulting account shortfall must be covered. Billing errors and applicable legal rights remain subject to the exceptions below.
Returning funds
Approved refunds are processed through Stripe to the original payment method. The corresponding credits are removed from your Arnict balance when the refund is confirmed. Your payment status and refunded amount appear in Billing.
Posting times depend on Stripe, your card issuer or bank. Your issuer’s currency-conversion or other fees are outside Arnict’s control. We do not turn unused balances into transfers to another account or payment method.
Billing errors and legal rights
Contact support if you believe a payment was duplicated, an amount was charged incorrectly, or confirmed credit was not added. Include the top-up reference or API request ID. These issues are reviewed separately from unused-credit refunds.
This policy does not limit any refund, cancellation or other consumer rights that apply by law, including rights that extend beyond 14 days.
